“My little boys are junior rodeoing now, and that’s been a ton of fun for us as a family. I have an 11-year-old, a 9-year-old and a 6-year- old. So, I stay pretty busy now with the junior rodeos, ProRodeos and horse shows.”

Team roping heeler Cesar de la Cruz doesn’t rodeo as much as he used to. The nine-time NFR qualifier spends more time with his family now that his sons are rodeoing.

Cress-ting toward the top Saddle bronc rider Brody Cress swept the victory at the Home on the Range Champions Ride in Sentinel Butte, N.D., Aug. 7. The four-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier won the first round, the finals and the average in Sentinel Butte to earn $10,355. He’s climbed to third in the PRCA | RAM World Standings with $111,652. He won the first round in Sentinel Butte with a 90-point ride on J Bar J’s Painted J and followed that with a 91-point ride on Outlawbuckers Rodeo’s OLS Tubs Magic Carpet. Cress is no stranger to success. He’s won the NFR average twice in his four trips to the Finals, and this season, he crossed the $1 million threshold in total earnings. Cress also won $50,000 at the Calgary Stampede this season.
