Record Breaker

“From the second jump, it could have gone either way. I just tried to keep gassing and I won the fist fight. I really couldn’t believe it when it said 95.5. It was a pretty big roar when the score went up.

A year ago, it was Dawson Hay tying the saddle bronc riding world record in Pollockville, Alberta, now it’s his older brother Logan stealing the show. On July 30, Logan Hay broke the PRCA World Record with a 95.5-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s X-9 Xplosive Skies, which was the 2021 Pendleton Whiskey Let ‘Er Buck Bare- back Horse of the Year. Three other cow- boys had held the record with 95 points.

The record had been set for 30 years and my brother only had it for a year and I got him.”
