Biglow wins bareback riding title Bareback rider Clayton Biglow won his first

world title thanks in part to winning the 2019 San Angelo Cinch Chute-Out. At his second rodeo of the 2020 season, Biglow returned to win the San Angelo Rodeo. “The last couple of years I’ve drawn really good there,” Biglow said. “San Angelo has definitely been good to me.” Biglow, 24, tied for eighth in Round 1 with 84 points and won the final round with an 89-point ride on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Painted River to win the average with 173 points on two head. “It’s a tough rodeo, you have to draw good and they put a bunch of good ones in the pen,” Biglow said. The significance of his $5,470 San Angelo win wasn’t lost on the California cowboy, fresh off winning his first world title at his fourth consecutive Wrangler NFR. “I don’t care if it’s San

Angelo or Sonora, I want a win,” Biglow said. “A win is a win, and it just sets you up for the next one and builds confidence to feel like you’re riding good.” Biglow’s San Angelo win pushed him to 30th in the PRCA | RAMWorld Standings.

“It’s a good win,” Biglow said. “Any time of the year is good because it sets you up for the next rodeo. But San Angelo is only the second rodeo I went to this winter and it jumpstarts my winter run. Now I can go to San Antonio with a bunch of confidence and do the same thing.”
