BY TRACY RENCK F or years, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has been one of the PRCA’s richest payouts for the regular season, featuring a million- dollar-plus payoff. The rodeo is back on tap in 2022, running from Feb. 10-21 and 24-26 at the AT&T Center, home of the San Antonio Spurs. In 2021, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo took place at Freeman Coliseum because of COVID-19 restrictions. The 2022 version is part of the PRCA’s Playoff Series and once again will be a game changer for contestants as they continue the marathon
journey to qualify for the covetedWrangler National Finals Rodeo presented by Teton Ridge. One staple is back in San Antonio – the Cervi family. The Cervi Brothers, and Cervi Championship Rodeo have been providing stock for the San Antonio Show & Rodeo since 1967. On Jan. 13, Cervi Championship Rodeo was inducted into the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Hall of Fame. “San Antone is just a class act, and it is an honor that we get to be part of such a prestigious event,” Binion Cervi said. “The people here make you feel amazing.
