The deadline for “walk-up replacement” will be one hour prior to the performance. The alternate list will be based on 2018 PRCA World Standings. The alternate will compete on the animal that is drawn for the contestant the he is replacing. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted on Fri., Jan. 11 between 9 AM and 12 PM for any available positions. TRADE DEADLINE - Thurs., Jan., 10 at 5 PM. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 24 minimum entries (12 per performance). No compensation. No slack. (See R1.2.13.4. and R1.2.14 for qualifications). One go- round with the first and second place contestants each performance advancing to a bonus round during that same performance. If the first and/or second place contestant declines advancement to the bonus round, the contestant with the next highest score will advance (if the next highest score is tied, a flip of a coin will determine who advances). If there are 8 or less entries per performance at the time that the entries close, the committee has the option to cancel the event or have two go-rounds, back to back, same performance. PAY-OFF: The long go-round will be paid off per the rulebook. $1,000 per performance will be held out of the total purse for the bonus round(s). Winner takes all in the bonus round(s). If there are no qualified rides in an event in the bonus round, $500 (of the $1,000) will be added back to the pay- off for the long go-round, and $500 will be split between the two qualifiers for the bonus round. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn 3 hours prior to each performance by the judges. Re-rides and the re-ride order will be designated by the stock contractor. Any animal turned-out in a performance will automatically become the first re-ride prior to using the designated re-rides. If more than one animal is turned-out in a performance, a random draw will determine which animal will be the first re-ride. The bonus round stock will be designated by the stock contractor and no re-rides will be given during the bonus round for inferior performance. In order for money won at this event to count for qualifying for the 2019 National Finals Rodeo or the 2019 Rookie of the Year Standings, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won at this event will not count for All Around Standings, circuit standings, or towards a circuit rodeo participation count. STK. ALL QUALIFYING CONTESTANTS - Will have a grace period to change preferences and/or buddy groups Thurs. December 27, between 8:30 AM and 2 PM. No draw outs will be accepted during this grace period. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must check-in at the trailer located in the southeast corner of the contestant parking lot and sign a release of liability before competing. Each contestant will be given a back number, which must be worn and displayed at all times in the competition arena ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and health papers prior to stalling horses and will be asked to fill out a Participation Declaration. No exceptions. STALLS - All stalls will be available to contestants at $20 per night beginning on Wed., Jan. 16th. First come, first served. Stalling overflow will be at Jefferson Co. Fairgrounds. Parking of contestants vehicles and horse trailers must be in area designated by the NWSS parking lot operator. TR - Only two loops TE - If a timed event animal escapes (or a re-run is due for any other reason) the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. TD, SW, TR - The 60 contestants (or teams) who originally qualified will not be placed or allowed to trade into the slack on Jan. 22. Those positions will be filled with contestants from the qualifier. TD, SW, TR - There will be one animal for every entry plus adequate extras. QUALIFICATIONS: TD, SW, TR - 100 minimum entries (or teams). 40 from 2018 money won, 10 from 2019 money won, 10 from 2018 Mountain States Circuit Standings, 40 from the qualifier. If a contestant qualifies in both the 2018 money and 2019 money won categories, he will assume the position among the 2018 qualifiers. No exemptions. W/F’s (12).
