QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 60 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD, SW - 100 minimum entries. One go- round regardless of the number of entries. TR - One go-round regardless of the number of entries. NOTIFY PROCOM - Notification must be made at the time of entry if claiming an exemption from qualification. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fees at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2017 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 30 minimum entries. One go-round with a top 3 shootout round. The top 3 from the first go-round will advance to a final shootout round. $2,000 will be held out of the purse for the shootout round. Only one place paid in the shootout. Payoff in the long go-round will be per rulebook. QUALIFICATIONS: 70% top money. 20% top circuit. 10% top first year. 3 of the 30 positions will be reserved for the 3 contestants with the highest scores in the Rapid City Bronc Futurity held at 1 PM on Jan. 31, who have not already been accepted as entries in the Rapid City X- Broncs. These 3 contestants must be active, eligible PRCA members. No exemptions. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X-Broncs Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Broncs Event. ALL CONTESTANTS - The “30-hour replacement” rule and the “walk-up replacement” policy will be in effect. See Rodeo Entry Information section of the business journal. The alternate list will be based on 2017 money won. CHECK-IN - Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. The check-in deadline for alternates to be considered as “walk-up replacements” at Xtreme Broncs Events is 1 hour prior to start of the event. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn for the 3 positions to be filled from the futurity during the original stock draw. Positions for the 3 contestants will be determined by a random draw by the judges. NOTE - In order for money won in Xtreme Broncs competition to count for the 2018 National Final Rodeo or the 2018 Rookie of the year standings, during the 2018 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count for PRCA World standings. It will not count for All Around standings, All American standings, circuit standings or towards a circuit rodeo count. STK. months during the 2017 rodeo year. Contestant must not have entered and paid fees at more than twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2017 rodeo year. A letter from a licensed physician on doctor’s letterhead bearing the doctor’s name, address and phone number must be received by the PRCA Nation Office prior to entry opening. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at the X-Bulls Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls event. (The performance at Rapid City rodeo on Jan. 27 will not be considered a conflict). CHECK-IN - Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant notifies a turn-out or a VIR and is replaced by an alternate, the alternate contestant will be responsible for the entry fees. The rodeo will not count toward the official rodeo count for the turned-out contestant. If the contestant that notified the turn-out or VIR is not replaced by an alternate, he will be responsible for the entry fees and the rodeo will count towards the official rodeo count. Any non-notified turn-out will be responsible for entry fees and the rodeo will count towards the official rodeo count, even if they are replaced. The alternate will also be responsible for entry fees. RE-RIDES - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used as re-rides prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF - 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with results. The pay- off will be determined on the highest marked scores. NOTE - In order to money won in Xtreme Bulls Competition (including Division 2 qualifying events) to count for the 2018 National Finals Rodeo or the 2018 Rookie of the Year Standings, during the 2018 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count for PRCA World Standings and Xtreme Bulls Standings. It will not count for All Around standings, All American standings, circuit standings or towards a circuit rodeo count.
