Contestants are required to compete in the steer roping event at a minimum of 15 PRCA rodeos for the money at this event to count towards 2018 World Standings or the 2018 Rookie of the Year standings. The following guidelines are established in compliance with the Texas Animal Health Commission Regulations governing admission of livestock into fairs and exhibitions and additional rules imposed by Rodeo Austin to ensure the health and well-being of animals exhibited at the show. Equines may enter Texas for show, fairs, exhibitions, or assembly purposes when accompanied by a valid interstate passport, equine go pass, or equine identification card and a completed VS Form 10-11 showing negative results to an official EIA test within the previous six (6) months or a certificate of veterinary inspection and a completed VS Form 10-11 showing negative results to an official EIA test with the past 12 months. (The veterinary certificate of inspection will be accepted as valid for 45 days for equine and 30 days for all other species.)
