Tie-down roper Cooper Martin made a 7.7-second run to win the Black Hills Roudup in Belle Fourche, S.D. He earned $3,858 for the win.

BULL RIDER GARRETT SMITH GETS BIG WIN Garrett Smith snared the win in Belle Fourche with an 89.5-point ride on Powder River Rodeo’s Bear Claw and earned $3,666. By the morning of July 7, Smith had earned $8,487 during the Christmas spurt, second most among bull riders. Smith is a three-time qualifier for the Wrangler NFR (2016- 17 and 2019). He finished 10th in the PRCA | RAM World Standings a year ago with $171,769.

Bareback rider Kaycee Feild won in Oakley City, July 3, when the Utah cowboy had an 86.5-point ride on Bar T Rodeo’s City Lights. The four-time world champion kept his momentum going on July 4, claiming the title at the Black Hills Roundup in Belle Fourche, S.D., with a 90.5-point trip on Powder River Rodeo’s Two Buck Chuck. Feild earned $3,333 and $3,446 for the back-to-back victories.
