Thurston, the 2016 PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Champion, notched a 94-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Rodeo’s Special Delivery at the Hard Grass Bronc Match in Pollockville, Alberta, July 27. Only Doug Vold and Glen O’Neill have scored higher than Thurston. Both Vold and O’Neill notched 95-point rides, Vold on Franklin’s Transport in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, in 1979, and O’Neill on Franklin’s Airwolf in Innisfail, Alberta, in 1996.
