CONTESTANT SELECTION FORMULA - 80% top money, 20% top circuit. NOTIFY PROCOM - Notification must be made at the time of entry if claiming an exemption from qualification. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fee at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2017 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. Contestants claiming medical exemptions must have been injured at least six (6) months during the 2017 rodeo year. A letter from a licensed physician on doctor’s letterhead bearing the doctor’s name, address and phone number, must be received by the PRCA National Office prior to entry opening. If a contestant with a medical exemption is drawn (during the random draw of exemptions), his “money won” from the year previous to the qualification category being considered will be used to determine whether or not he will be accepted. If he was injured for six months during the 2017 rodeo year, his “money won” from the 2016 rodeo year will be used in comparison to the “money won” from the 2017 rodeo year for the other contestants entered. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X- Broncs Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Broncs Event. ALL CONTESTANTS - The “30-hour replacement” rule and the “walk-up replacement” policy will be in effect. See Rodeo Entry Information section of the business journal. CHECK-IN - Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. The check-in deadline for alternates to be considered as “walk-up replacements” at Xtreme Broncs Events is 1 hour prior to start of the event. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn per the rulebook. The event will count towards the official rodeo count for any contestant that turns-out after stock callbacks, whether that contestant is replaced or not. Contestants who qualify for the finals may be requested by the committee to draw their own animal from a hat containing poker chips inscribed with animals’ numbers in the arena or other designated area prior to the finals. This determination may be based on production factors. PAY-OFF - 6% of total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with results. Of the remaining purse 30% of the total purse will be allocated to the long go-round, pays 8 places. 20% of the total purse will be allocated to the final go-round, pays 6 places. 50% of the total purse will be allocated to the average, pays 8 places. Pay-off will be determined on highest marked scores. ALL PERCENTAGES WILL BE DIVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULEBOOK. Any contestant who advances into a final go-round solely by random draw (no qualified rides) will not be eligible to participate in the average pay-off. Any money won by any contestant in the final go-round will count towards World Standings. NOTE - In order for money won in Xtreme Broncs competition to count for the 2018 National Final Rodeo or the 2018 Rookie of the year standings, during the 2018 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos.
