BY SCOTT KANIEWSKI T rey Blackmore and his fiancée, Cheyenne, were loving the idea. They’d get married the weekend of March 27 and the next week they’d celebrate with their honeymoon in Kissimmee, Fla., while Blackmore was team roping heading at his first RAMNational Circuit Finals Rodeo. But the COVID-19 pandemic had other plans. “It was a crazy time for us planning the wedding and then all that stuff starting up with COVID,” Cheyenne said. “When they postponed the RAM Finals it was a big bummer. We had been looking forward to it, getting away, getting away from the wedding

planning. But more than the honeymoon, I felt bad for Trey. He had worked really hard, and I knew that was one of his bigger goals. It was a bummer in more ways than one.” Blackmore has focused on this season while waiting to see what happens with the RAMNCFR, which was scheduled for April 2-4 before being postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The 25-year-old fromHillside, Ariz., is fourth in the Turquoise Circuit as of June 8, 2020. Blackmore is gunning for back-to-back Turquoise Circuit year-end titles. He also won the average last season at the RAMTurquoise Circuit Finals Rodeo in Prescott, Ariz., Oct. 4-5.
