Thanks in part to practicing with his uncle, five-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier Casey Martin, and rodeoing with Rowdy Parrott, Riley Duvall and 2017World Champion Tyler Pearson, the 22-year-old cowboy captured his first major career win at the Old Fort Days Rodeo in Fort Smith, Ark. “This is my first big, PRCA rodeo win and it’s very exciting, I want to get the ball rolling and win a lot more this summer,” Martin said. Pearson hazed for Martin in the first round and Duvall was by his side for

the second round. “You definitely don’t have to worry, they’re going to do good since they’re two of the best,” Martin said. “We’re all friends, Tyler and Riley have hazed for me quite a bit.” Martin didn’t place in the first round, but he tied for second in the second round with a 4.4-second run to win the average with 9.6 seconds on two head. “I figured if I came back and did real good, I could place,” Martin said. Martin was competing on his 11-year-old roan American Quarter Horse, Fred. “I trained himmyself and he’s been working really good here lately,” Martin said. “He gets a little anxious every once in a while, but he’s honest in
