McElvain, John Routh, Kajun Kidd, Wayne Cornish, Duane Reichert, Bunky Boger, Bob Romer, Gary Parli and Tom Lucia. When not in the rodeo arena he used his PhD in teaching at schools in Oklahoma, at colleges, and on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. Hill was married to Dianne for 39 years, and had one son, J. D., who was the mascot for the Rodeo Clown Reunions for 10 years. Bonnie L. Beaver of Victoria, Texas, the mother of ProRodeo Hall of Famer Joe Beaver, passed away June 20. She was 83. Beaver was born December 9, 1938. A Chapel Funeral Service for Beaver was held June 24 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Victoria. JIM HILL

JimHill, a bullfighter, barrelman and funnyman, passed away at his home near Enid, Okla., June 18. He was 78. Hill was a 36-year member of the PRCA. He worked for rodeo producers Walt Alsbaugh, Christensen Brothers, R.S.C., Andy Jauregui, Cotton Rosser, Billy Minickyear , Jim Shoulders, Neal Gay and more from 1959 to 1995. Hill was born June 2, 1944, and was only 15 when his rodeo career began. He worked Crossett, Ark.; Salt Lake City, Utah; Ellensburg, Wash.; Sacramento, Calif., and many more. When asked if he’d ever been injured, he acknowledged 14 ambulance rides for various injuries to his knees, pelvis, ribs, and two skull fractures. He worked beside George Doak, Frank
