“The main reason I bought my PRCA card was so I could compete in the Montana Circuit,” Scott said. Scott has earned $97,664 in his ProRodeo career – $61,515 in tie-down roping. As of June 22, he was second in the Montana Circuit tie-down roping standings, trailing only reigning world champion Haven Meged. “My favorite event is tie-down roping,” Scott said. “Our whole family trains a bunch of rope horses, so I enjoy getting our own horses going. I’m probably more natural at steer wrestling, but I enjoy the (tie-down roping) more, and I just keep working at it.” In 2015, Scott qualified for the RAMNational Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee, Fla., in tie-down roping. I enjoy traveling with him and practicing with him. If you can’t get along with Bode, you’re doing something wrong. He’s a good guy. He’s also a great mentor, and I call him for a lot of advice. He’s a very talented cowboy in the arena. He just has a lot of other priorities other than rodeoing.” FAMILY FIRST Scott and his wife, Cassie, have been married five years. They have two daughters, Sage, 2, and Piper, 4 months. “It’s great being a dad, there’s nothing better,” Scott said. “I take my wife and Sage to every one of my rodeos, and now I will take Piper.
