Dale Miller photo BY MATT NABER D espite suffering a fractured pelvis less than two months ago, reigning four-time World Champion Bull Rider Sage Kimzey was back in action and going full throttle as he won the Fort Mohave (Ariz.) PRCA Xtreme Bulls event on March 3. “I already had an outstanding winter, and then after sitting out for a month because of a fractured pelvis, I had to win some money,” Kimzey said. “Getting back into bull riding and winning some money definitely feels good.” partner Tyler Taylor. “A lot of guys would talk about knocking off the rust from being hurt for a bit, but he’s so sound in the mind that he knew when he came back he would be right where he left off.” Before Fort Mohave, Kimzey competed at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo where he won more than $30,000 between the rodeo and the Xtreme Bulls event there. “He went on from there feeling good,” Taylor said. “With his mindset on something like that, it’s not going

to affect him.” In Fort Mohave, Kimzey made an 85-point ride in the first round and returned with an 86 on Honeycutt Rodeo’s Cajun Heat in the final round. “That was one of the saltier 86-point rides I’ve ever seen,” Taylor said. “It was a dang-good ride.” Kimzey didn’t know anything about Cajun Heat beforehand, so he asked
