BY TRACY RENCK W ith PRCA rodeos at a standstill due to the COVID-19 Scott : My deal hasn’t changed much. I’m just riding horses, and I have customer horses I’m training. I just don’t leave the house. I don’t get to take off and go to rodeos. I have had lots of kids in the arena. I have a niece and nephew who are 6 and 2 who come over and stay three days a week because daycare is shutdown. My niece likes to ride and has done that a lot. My next-door neighbors are a rodeo family, and their daughter comes over and ropes. It depends what day it is, but I might have my daughter and three to five girls who are 8 and younger roping in my arena. Outside of rodeo, what do you enjoy doing right now? Scott: With this quarantine stuff going on we have been trying to keep our kids occupied. We’ve been fishing, skeet shooting, washer pitch, any kind of game you can think of. My wife has done those 1,000-piece puzzles for kids. (coronavirus) pandemic, cowboys have plenty of time on their hands. What have you been doing?
