COMPETITION FORMAT - 40 minimum entries. One go-round with top 12 finals (will not exceed 12). If there are not 12 qualified rides, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw (by the judges). If the 12th contestant is tied going into final round the tie will be broken by the back judge. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to the finals. IN ORDER OF SELCTION: 90% top money, 10% Random draw of exemptions. NOTIFY PROCOM : Notification must be made at the time of entry if claiming an exemption from qualification. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fees at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2017 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. Contestants claiming medical exemptions must have been injured at least six (6) months during the 2017 rodeo year. Contestant must not have entered and paid fees at more than twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos or events held during the 2017 rodeo year. A letter from a licensed physician on doctor’s letterhead bearing the doctor’s name, address and phone number, must be received by the PRCA National Office prior to entry opening. If a contestant with a medical exemption is drawn (during the random draw of exemptions) his “money won” from the year previous to the qualification category being considered will be used to determine whether or not he will be accepted. (If he was injured for 6 months during the 2017 rodeo year, his “money won” from the 2016 rodeo year will be used in comparison to the “money won” from the 2017 rodeo year for the other contestants entered). A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X- Bulls Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls Event. CHECK-IN: Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES: Only contestants that were drawn out due to qualifications or conflicts will be selected as alternates. Alternates will be selected based on 2018 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closings). A contestant who is placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the Xtreme Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. A contestant who originally entered and was eligible at time of entry may check- in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm his availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant notifies a turn-out or V.I.R and is replaced by an alternate, the alternate contestant will be responsible for the entry fees. The rodeo will not count toward the official rodeo count for the turned-out contestant. If the contestant that notified the turn-out or V.I.R is not replaced by an alternate, he will be responsible for the entry fees and the rodeo will count towards the official rodeo count. Any non- notified turn-out will be responsible for entry fees and the rodeo will count towards the official rodeo count, even if he is replaced. The alternate will also be responsible for entry fees. If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. If a contestant turns out of a Division 1 event after the stock draw and a replacement is not found, he will be charged at $500 turn out fine. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn per the rulebook. The event will count towards the official rodeo count for any contestant that turns out after the stock callbacks, whether that contestant is replaced or not. Contestants who qualify for the finals may be requested by the committee to draw their own animal from a hat containing poker chips inscribed with animals’ numbers in the arena or other designated area prior to the finals. This determination may be based on production factors. FINALS STOCK: The order of the bulls to be used in the finals of an Xbulls Event will be designated by the
