Rookie bull rider/saddle bronc rider Stetson Wright has earned $78,935 this season. Wright leads the PRCA | Resistol Rookie Standings in both events. 404 Points earned by the Wright family and its extended family at the Pony Express Rodeo in Eagle Mountain, Utah, May 24- 27. Rookie Stetson Wright won the bull riding with 81 points and added 80.5 points in saddle bronc rid- ing. Ryder Wright was the saddle bronc riding champ with an 83.5-point ride, and Spencer Wright tied for third in saddle bronc rid- ing with an 80-point ride. Saddle bronc rider CoBurn Bradshaw, a brother-in-law to the Wrights, was fifth with a 79-point ride.

The Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum is set to open June 12 in Pawhuska, Okla., around the corner from the world-famous Pioneer Woman Mercantile. The museum will feature exhibits on “Oklahoma’s Favorite Son,” Ben Johnson Jr., who won the title of 1953 World Champion as a team roper and the 1972 Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role in The Last Picture Show . He was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1973. Johnson died in 1996. The museum also showcases more than 20 world champion rodeo cowboys that hail from Osage County. Osage County’s ranching history, including ranches like the Chapman Barnard, Drummond and the Mullendore Ranch, are featured alongside a world- class art collection, including works from Osage County artists John D. group. Jones has been with the National Western Stock Show as a volunteer, trustee and board member for almost 30 years. Jones added his leadership to several Stock Show committees, including the Junior Livestock Auction Committee, Coors Western Art Advisory Committee and Citizen of the West Steering Committee. Over the last two decades, Jones has exhibited his dedication to the historic Stock Show and the exciting redevelopment of the National Western Center. Jones has served as board chairman for many well-respected organizations, including Colorado State University, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and Denver Area Boy Scouts of America. Grant announced he was “stepping down” as chairman of the board after 34 years of service with the association.
