On a roll Saddle bronc rider Jake Watson won four PRCA rodeos in the span of nine days – between May 12-20. On May 12, Watson won the Stavely (Alberta) Indoor Pro Ro- deo and the Kananaskis Pro Rodeo in Coleman, Alberta, the Redding (Calif.) Rodeo on May 18 and the Falkland (British Columbia) Stam- pede, May 20. With those four victories, Watson earned $8,294 and moved up to sev- enth place in the PRCA | RAM World Standings as of May 29.

Broncs buck into action The Xtreme Broncs tour picks up steam this weekend with a pair of rodeos. The Great Plains Xtreme Broncs Match in Herreid, S.D., May 31, and the Casey Tibbs Match of Champions Xtreme Broncs Ride in Fort Pierre, S.D., June 1, will be the latest in the series. The saddle bronc riders are competing to qualify for the PRCA Xtreme Broncs Finals in Rapid City, S.D., at the Central States Fair and Rodeo on Aug. 22.

Brazile scores big at Saginaw The Windy Ryon Memorial Roping paid dividends for Trevor Brazile, May 26. The 24-time world champion won the final round and the average to cash in for $5,265 at the $36,895 steer roping event in Saginaw, Texas. That money moved him into first place in the PRCA | RAM World Standings for steer rop- ing. Brazile, who owns the most world titles in PRCA history (14 in all-around, three in tie-down, one in team roping, six in steer roping), won the average with a 53.3-second time on four head. He leads the standings with $36,923.
