MEDICAL EXEMPTION - Consideration will be given those members who qualified in 2018 but because of injuries were unable to compete at any rodeo after July 1, 2018. A letter on doctor’s letterhead must be submitted to the CRES office prior to entries opening, this letter must detail the time frame in which contestant was unable to compete. ***Injury information must be given to CRES at the time of entry.*** TURN-OUT/ALTERNATE PROCEDURE - If more than 72 entries, contestants drawn out will be numbered. Contestants will be notified of their alternate position number at call backs, at which time they must provide contact information to be eligible for re-entry. If a contestant notifies a turn-out, the next alternate will be contacted for re-entry. JUNE 25TH PERFORMANCE - A maximum of twelve (12) contestants will be drawn into the first (1st) performance at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 25. FINALS - $5000 will be held out in each of the seven (7) major events for the finals. Four (4) monies will be paid in the short go in seven (7) major events. Split 40-30-20-10. TD, SW & TR - Top twelve (12) ties will be broken by the fastest time on any one head. If still tied, the tie will be broken by the second fastest time on any one head. If still tied, the Canadian Standings as of June 18, 2019 will be the tie breaker. SB, BB, BR - Top twelve (12). In the event of a tie, go back to judge’s card, the high mark contestant on the cowboy spur ride will break the ties. If still tied, the CPRA Standings as of June 18, 2019 will be the tie breaker. TURNING OUT OF FINALS - Contestants who turn out of the finals must notify the local rodeo office by Sun., June 30, 2019 no later than 6 PM MT. A $500 turn out fine will apply if contestant fails to notify by the specified time. Contestants who are a notified turnout or contestants who are unavailable at the start of their section of their event will be replaced by the next available contestant; next is defined by the 2019 Ponoka Stampede standings. Interpretation of the ground rules will be at the sole discretion of the Ponoka Stampede Rules Committee. SB, BB, BR, TD, SW - Ponoka Stampede reserves the right to move contestants into the Finals (to total 12 contestants) in the event of turn outs, in the case of ties between 13-14 etc., tie breaker rules to decide the next contestant into the finals due to turn outs will be the same as determining the top 12 qualifiers. PONOKA STAMPEDE SHOWDOWN FORMAT - A contestant must make a qualified ride or run to be paid. No ground money. All monies paid in the Showdown will count for CPRA/PRCA Standings. In the event of no qualified rides/ runs in the Showdown, there will be no payout and the aggregate winner will be the Stampede Champion. There will be $15,000 held out per event for the SHOWDOWN, split as follows: Four qualified rides/ runs 1st - 50% $7,500 2nd - 25% $3,750 3rd - 15% $2,250 4th - 10% $1,500 Three qualified rides/ runs 1st - 55% $8,250 2nd - 28% $4,200 3rd - 17% $2,550 Two qualified rides/ runs 1st - 65% $9,750 2nd - 35% $5,250 One qualified ride/ run 1st - 100% $15,000 No times or scores will be carried into the Showdown. All stock will be

selected by the event reps and the committee. Order of competition will be fourth (4) to first (1). Timed events must be split so there are no back to back runs on the same horse. Top four (4) contestants, maximum of four (4), from the average of the rodeo will compete in the Showdown. If not enough qualified rides/runs for the Showdown, the highest score taken to the Finals will qualify (also includes injuries). TIE BREAKER FORMAT FOR SHOWDOWN - SB, BB, BR - Highest score in the Finals will break ties. If a tie still exists the contestant with the highest score in the first go-round will break the tie. If a tie still exists the most accumulated money won in previous go- rounds in tied event. If a tie still exists, the highest marked spur ride on the judge’s card from the finals (top 12) will proceed. If a tie still exists, the Canadian Standings as of June 18, 2019 will be used. TD, SW & TR - Fastest time in the Finals will break ties. If a tie still exists the fastest time in the first go- round will break ties. If a tie still exists, the contestant with the most money won in previous go-rounds on two head will advance. If a tie still exists, the Canadian Standings as of June 18, 2019 will be used. SHOWDOWN TIE BREAKERS - All tie breakers are based on qualified rides and runs only. If a tie exists after the Showdown contestants have competed once, there will be either a ride-off or run- off (depending on event) between the tied contestants to determine the Champion. In the roughstock events, if a ride-off is required, any animals that were drawn as re-rides for the Finals and were not used will automatically be used as the ride-off animals. In the timed events, if a run-off is required, the designated spares will be used as tiebreaker animals. One go-round with top 10 finals (will not exceed 10). (There may be the option of two go-rounds back to back, same performance with no finals depending on the number of entries at the committee’s request). If there are not 10 qualified rides, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw (by the judges). If the 10th contestant is tied going into the final round, the tie will be broken by the back judges. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to the finals. CONTESTANT SELECTION FORMULAS DIV. 2: 70% top money, 30% top circuit. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fees at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2018 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. Contestants claiming medical exemptions must have been injured at least six (6) months during the 2018 rodeo year. Contestant must not have entered and paid fees at more than twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos or events held during the 2018 rodeo year. A letter from a licensed physician on doctor’s letterhead bearing the doctor’s name, address and phone number, must be received by the PRCA National Office prior to entry opening. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X-Bulls Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls Event. CHECK-IN - Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES - Only contestants that were drawn out due to qualifications or conflicts will be selected as alternates. Alternates will be selected based on 2019 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closings). Contestants who are placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the Xtreme Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant turns-out (notified or non- notified) or V.I.R’s, he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out of an X-Bulls event and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR’s and VIR’s). If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the even be applied to his official rodeo count. STOCK DRAW: Selection of bulls for the finals will be accomplished by mutual agreement among the event representative or his duly designated appointee, the primary stock contractor, and a judge designated by the Supervisor of Pro Officials. Contestants who qualify for the finals may be requested by the committee to draw their own animal from a hat containing poker chips inscribed with animals’ numbers in the arena or other designated area prior to the finals. This determination may be based on production factors. FINALS STOCK: The order of the bulls to be used in the finals of an XBulls Event will be designated by the event representative and listed in order on the judges sheets prior to the first go- round of competition. the contestant with the lowest score will be listed first and the contestant with the highest score will be listed last with an animal already designate to that position. The order of any ties will be determined by a random draw by the judges. RE-RIDES - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF - 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with the results. Pay-off will be determined on highest marked scores. 30% of the total purse will be allocated to the long go-round, pays 8 places. 20% of the total purse will be allocated to the final go-round, pays 6 places. 50% of the total purse will be allocated
