The Nutrena Horse of the Year presented by AQHA awards provide recognition to ProRodeo’s top horses. Year’s Top Horses STEER WRESTLING EDS Famous Bar “Eddie” Owner: Tanner Milan

Riders: Dalton Massey, Tanner Milan, Stephen Culling, Ryan Shuckburg, Curtis Cassidy, Mike McGinn, J.D. Struxness Why the horse is special: “He has such a huge heart and he’s a real go getter. Anything he does, he’s 100 mph and anything he does he’s good at. I have owned Eddie for three years and this will be the first time he goes to the NFR. If he keeps up with what he’s been doing all year, he should be good. The very first steer I ran on him after I bought him, I knew there was something special about him. It’s really cool to have a horse that a lot of different guys can ride. It takes a special horse to do that.” Eddie is 10 years old. He weighs 1,200 pounds and is 15.2 hands. Hear it from Tanner: “He’s good anywhere from Cheyenne to Salinas (Calif.), the long round at Ponoka, the Calgary Stampede, just anywhere. For some reason, he works at all those setups, and it is a blessing to have a horse like that. This is huge to have a horse of the year. I have put a lot of work into this horse, and this is pretty awesome. Eddie definitely rules the roost, and you can tell once it is go-time the switch turns on and Why the horse is special: He walks into the box, and you wouldn’t even hardly know there’s a horse in there, he never really gets amped up. It’s tough to find a horse that is as calm as he is, but also has a ton of run in him. He is a shorter and stouter horse that can move his feet with the best of them. Joe is 11 years old and a little over 15 hands tall. Hear it from Clint: “It made my day knowing his was selected as the horse of the year. The horse really deserves it in my eyes. I’ve only been heading professionally for three years now, and I’ve been lucky enough to own some great horses and he’s dang sure at the top of the list.
