Contract Personnel for Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping The PRCA is proud to announce the contract personnel has been selected for the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Dec. 6-7. The selections are: Chute boss: John Gwatney Announcers: Anthony Lucia and TC Long Secretary: Courtney Moorehead Timers: Dee Dee Dickinson and Mary Brunner Photographer: Joe Duty Music: Jill Franzen Loden Wrangler NFR, NFSR photographers announced The PRCA is excited to announce the selections for the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo photographers. The in-arena photographers will be Phillip Kitts and Rod Connor. Kitts replaces Phil Doyle who did not meet eligibility requirements to shoot the NFR due to a PRCA calculation error. This is Kitts first time being selected as an NFR photographer. The behind-the scenes photographers are Clay Guardipee and Roseanna Sales. The Wrangler NFR returns to the Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas Dec. 2-11. Click Thompson will shoot the National Finals Steer Roping at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan., Nov. 12-13. It will be his first time shooting the NFSR. Shooting the Wrangler NFR or the NFSR is one of the most prestigious honors a ProRodeo photographer can receive. Connor will be making his first appearance at the NFR. He photographed the NFSR in 2020. Guardipee and Sales were both photographers at the Wrangler NFR in 2020 in Arlington, Texas. Polaris Remuda Award winners announced On Oct. 18, the PRCA announced its 2021 Polaris Remuda Awards. The best pen of bucking horses brought to PRCA rodeos is the Calgary Stampede and the committee recognized for assembling the best pen of bucking horses is the Red Bluff (Calif.) Round-Up. The annual Remuda Awards go to the stock contracting firm and rodeo committee that provide the best, most consistent pen of bucking horses, creating the best opportunities for contestants to score well. Calgary Stampede also won the Remuda Award in 2009. This is the first time the Red Bluff Round-Up rodeo committee has been honored with the Remuda Award. The Remuda Award winners will be honored at the PRCA Awards Banquet at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas at 6 p.m. (PT), Dec. 1, the eve of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo opening at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. National Finals Breakaway Roping to Las Vegas The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) $200,000 during the two-day, 10-round performance that will be produced by the PRCA in conjunction with Group W Productions on a multi-year agreement. In addition to the prize money, a Montana Silversmiths world champion buckle and custom Cactus Saddlery world champion saddle will be awarded, along with Montana Silversmiths go-round buckles after every round. The performances will be at 1 p.m. (PST) each day with five rounds Dec. 6 and five rounds Dec. 7. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. (PT).
