intercollegiate, Indian and PRCA rodeos throughout the Northwest and Canada. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m., Sept. 22 at the Chattaroy (Wash.) Cemetery, followed by a Military Celebration Service and potluck meal at the Deer Park VFW at 1 p.m. Bagnell was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Terry, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He is survived by his longtime companion Nikki Mackey; sons, Brandon, Jesse (Liz) and Dustin (Hilary); grandsons, Blake, Dillon, Keenan and Oliver; sisters, Meme (Dale) and Diana (Art); aunts, Thelma Ostby and Marlene, Babs and Jo Bagnell.

BRIEFS Ellensburg Rodeo dedicates performance to Seubert The final day of the Ellensburg (Wash.) Rodeo, Sept. 3, was dedicated to Bill Seubert, a past Ellensburg Rodeo director and longtime volunteer, who passed away in April. Seubert was born in Ellensburg on Jan. 3, 1940, to Barney and Peg Seubert. He grew up in Ellensburg, attending Lourdes Academy and Ellensburg High School. He graduated from Seattle University with a major in business and a minor in theology. He worked for Boeing in Seattle for a few years before returning to Ellensburg to take over the family hardware store. Seubert married Mary McManamy on July 22, 1967. Mary was a past rodeo queen and an announcer at the Ellensburg Rodeo when she met Bill. With Mary involved in the rodeo, Bill showed an interest in joining the board to serve the community. Seubert served as a rodeo director from 1970-99 and helped start several long-standing rodeo tradi- tions, including the volunteer appreciation dinner and the posse breakfast.

MICKEY DEE BAGNELL

Mickey Dee Bagnell, a PRCA competitor and bullfighter/rodeo clown, passed away Aug. 14. He was 70. Bagnell started out riding in junior rodeos. He enlisted in the Army after graduation in 1966 and spent a year in Vietnam as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. His rodeo career spanned the next 21 years, competing and performing in amateur,
