Hello, Newman ... Scrambling to make his first Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, saddle bronc rider Sage Newman scored $7,500 in Fort Madison, Iowa, Sept. 8. The 23-year-old from Melstone, Mont., notched a 90.5-point ride on Cervi Championship Rodeo’s Ricky Bobby to win the Tri- State Rodeo. The big score moved Newman to within striking distance of the Top 15 in the PRCA | RAM World Standings. He climbed to 16th and was $502 behind No. 15.
