Hitting a Milestone

Ty Erickson was the first steer wrestler to hit $100,000 this season. The Montana cowboy has led the PRCA | RAM World Standings

since March 6, the first to come out after Erickson won The American

where he earned $50,000. Erickson was the regular- season leader in 2016 & 2017.

Movin’ on up

In just over a month, saddle bronc rider Brody Cress earned $60,465. That jumped him from 29th in the July 22 PRCA | RAM World Standings to 10th in the Aug. 26 standings with $90,325. Cress’ two biggest paydays of the month came at Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days ($12,585) and the Range Days Rodeo

The Race to Rope Over the last month of the season, there are nine scheduled steer roping events. Less than $9,000 separates the 10th spot in the PRCA | RAM World Standings from the 20th spot. The Top 15 will qualify for the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping. Brady Garten is holding on to the 15th spot with $31,505, as of Sept. 4.
