ProRodeo Tour’s Ponoka (Alberta) Stampede. The 26-year-old Canadian wins $16,513. Stetson Wright , competing on his permit, rides Big Stone Rodeo, Inc.’s Mortimer for 91 points and the bull riding win at the St. Paul (Ore.) Rodeo. Tie-down roper Monty Lewis wins California Rodeo Salinas, 13 years after his first Salinas victory. Brody Cress becomes the first cowboy to win back-to-back saddle bronc riding titles at Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days in 82 years. The last to do it was Turk Greenough in 1935 and 1936. 22 7 29
