BY TRACY RENCK O ne rodeo doesn’t make a PRCA season – but winning RFD-TV’s The American can go a long way in solidifying a spot at the 2020Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. For the second consecutive year, the PRCA is sanctioning RFD-TV’s The American in Arlington, Texas, March 7-8. Event winners will earn at least $100,000, with $50,000 counting toward the PRCA | RAMWorld

Standings.

Every event winner at The American in 2019 (except in bull riding) qualified for the Wrangler NFR – bareback rider Orin Larsen, steer wrestler Ty Erickson, team ropers Coleman Proctor and Ryan Motes, saddle bronc rider Ryder Wright, and tie-down roper Caleb Smidt. The 2019 winners are all back to defend their titles. The long round consists of 16 contestants in each event March 7. That number is reduced to the top eight for a second round March 8, followed by a
