Looking back at 1999

It’s time again to take a trip down memory lane. This video archive takes us to Waco, Texas, in the fall of 1999. The Heart O’ Texas Rodeo had a purse of $153,481, making it the 29th highest-paying rodeo of the season. This rodeo gave contestants who were making a frantic push to make the National Finals Rodeo another chance at a payday. One of the winners was ProRodeo Hall of Famer Billy Etbauer, who split the saddle bronc riding crown with Ryan Mapston.
