With a continued focus on the massive opportunity to serve the western endemic audience, Teton Ridge completed the purchase of The Cowboy Channel and the PRCA media rights in November 2024. Teton Ridge will continue to deliver rodeo programming to the 25mm cable homes in Rural America while focusing on the expansion of household distribution. Deirdre Lester, CEO of Teton Ridge discussed the goals of the network with Forbes Magazine after the acquisition, “One of the things I want to do with the (network) is make it available in all homes in America. While everybody (else is) divesting cable channels, we are calling up Comcast… (asking them to) Put Cowboy Channel in the entire universe because (West ern-themed content is) of interest right now.”
