GROUND RULES: ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Thurs., Aug. 1 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 40 minimum entries. One go-round with top 12 finals (will not exceed 12). If there are not 12 qualified rides, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw. If the 12th contestant is tied going into the final round, the tie will be broken by the back judge. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to finals. CONTESTANT SELECTION FORMULAS DIV 1: - 90% top money, -10% random draw of exemptions. NOTIFY PROCOM - Notification must be made at the time of entry if claiming an exemption from qualification. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fees at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2018 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. Contestants claiming medical exemptions must have been injured at least six (6) months during the 2018 rodeo year. Contestant must not have entered and paid fees at more than twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos or events held during the 2018 rodeo year. A letter from a licensed physician on doctor’s letterhead bearing the doctor’s name, address and phone number, must be received by the PRCA National Office prior to entry opening. If a contestant with a medical exemption is drawn (during the random draw of exemptions), his “money won” from the year previous to the qualification category being considered will be used to determine whether or not he will be accepted. (If he was injured for six months during the 2018 rodeo year, his “money won” from the 2017 rodeo year will be used in comparison to the “money won” from the 2018 rodeo year for the other contestants entered. No medical exemptions will be accepted for events whose entries close on or after July 15th. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X-Bulls Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls Event. CHECK-IN - Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES - Only contestants that were drawn out due to qualifications or conflicts will be selected as alternates. Alternates will be selected based on 2019 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closings). A contestant who is placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same days as the Xtreme Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at the time of entry may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate.
