Oregon rodeo announces 2019 HOF class The St. Paul (Ore.) Rodeo recently announced its 2019 Hall of Fame class will be Butch Knowles, Grant McKillip, Richard Ernst, Elaine Smith and Bob Gregory. The Hall of Fame induction barbeque will take place at 5 p.m. (PT), July 1, in the Main Stage Tent on the St. Paul Rodeo Grounds. Tickets are $32 and are available at www.stpaulrodeo.com or at the ticket office. There also will be a live and silent auction to benefit the St. Paul Rodeo Foundation. Call toSt. Paul Hall Santa Maria Elks raise $800,000 for charities The 76th annual Santa Maria (Calif.) Elks Rodeo brought out an estimated 35,000 people and raised a record $800,000 for charitable causes during its May 30 through June 2 run, according to a report in the Santa Maria Times , June 3. “The stands were full, there were people on the midway, parking was full,” said Johnna Clark, media director for the rodeo. The Santa Maria Elks Rodeo was a PRCA ProRodeo Tour stop. During this year’s event, the money was raised for a variety of charitable causes, including a record $795,526 from the Elks Rodeo Queen campaigns.

Cheyenne (Wyo.) Frontier Days saw its third-largest paid attendance last year in the history of the annual Wyoming western celebration. KGAB-AM radio station of Cheyenne, reported rodeo said 101,462 people attended the rodeo and 115,214 fans enjoyed the night shows. Cheyenne Frontier Days CEO Tom Hirsig said the rodeo also set all-time records for merchandise, malt beverage and liquor sales. The 2019 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo is July 19- 28.
