Foss keeps rolling Bareback rider Austin Foss, of Terrebonne, Ore., has had a truck- load of success in Santa Maria. Foss won the rodeo for the fourth time in his career, post- ing a rodeo-record 88.5-point ride on Flying U Rodeo’s Lil Red Hawk. The previous record was an 88-point ride by Cody Jessee in 2001. Foss also won Santa Maria in 2013-14 and 2018. “They give really good prizes there, and there’s also a ton of prize money,” said Foss, who earned $2,724 for his latest Santa Maria victory. 6 Number of times team roping heeler Kyle Lockett has won the Santa Ma- ria team roping title. Lane Karney and Lockett split the title in 2019 with Dallas Owen/Taylor Winters after each team had 6.5-sec- ond runs. Lockett also won Santa Maria in 2001, 2006-2007, 2010 and 2015.

Matt Cohen photo Boudreaux Campbell had an 85.5-point ride on Rosser Rodeo’s Black Kat to win the Santa Maria (Calif.) Elks Rodeo for the first time in his career. Campbell earned $3,710 for his winning ride.
