CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Wisconsin Department of Agriculture requires all equine animals entering the grounds to have the following documentation to participate: 1. Original and a copy of the laboratory report of a negative equine infectious anemia (EIA) test conducted after April 21, 2023 which clearly identifies the equine animal by registration number, lip tattoo or a complete description of the equine animal. 2. Original and a copy of the certificate of veterinary inspection issued within 30 days of the March 21 or after the Midwest Horse Fair & Rodeo if you are coming from a state other than WI or MN. If the above paperwork is not provided, the animal will not be allowed on the grounds and the contestant will not participate. STK. CONT.: BARNES PRCA RODEO

QUALIFICATIONS: ALL EVENTS - 10 entries. All from 2024 money won. No exemptions. In the TR, the 10 headers that qualify must rope with the 10 heelers that qualify. If a contestants partner is drawn out due to qualification, the contestant who qualified will not be allowed to draw out. A replacement partner will be drawn at random from the other contestants whose partners were drawn out due to qualifications. If a header or heeler T.O.’s or D.R.’s prior to the 30-hour deadline, leaving an incomplete team, the next contestant in the corresponding category (header or heeler) on the alternate list will be added. If a notification is not made prior to the 30-hour deadline, the remaining partner may select another partner from among any of the PRCA event contestants already entered at the rodeo, except those scheduled to compete in the TR. PAY-OFF FOR THE FINALS: $7,500 for first, $3,000 for second, and $2,000 for third. Total of $12,500. If there are not 3 qualified scores or times in the Chute Out Round, the remaining placings will be paid based on highest scores or fastest times from the long go-round. There will be no pay-out for the long go-round. Only money paid out to a contestant without a qualified score or time in either go-round will be considered ground money. All other money paid out will count for PRCA World Standings, but will not count for circuit standings. This event will not count towards the required circuit participation count. NOTE: The 6% of the purse that is collected by the PRCA will not be held out of the total purse. It will be paid directly to the PRCA by the San Angelo committee. STK. TD - There will be a disqualification for a jerk down as long as all of the criteria are in compliance with the jerk down policy. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must sign a release of liability TR - 22ft. score. Electric eye barrier will be used. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a rerun in awarded for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escapes animals go back into the herd. TD, SW, TR - If there are not enough contestants in the current year circuit money category to fill the allotted circuit positions, the remaining positions will be filled with contestants from the previous year circuit money won category. The top 24 (plus splits), based on fastest time in the average from the first and second go- rounds, will advance to a progressive go-round held during the first and second performances. If there are less than three qualified times or scores in an event, a random draw by the judges will determine who advances to fill the remaining positions in the finals (not to exceed three).
