COMPETITION FORMAT - 80 minimum entries. One go-round with finals (top 10 each performance). Approximately 40 contestants will compete during each performance with the top 10 (will not exceed 10) advancing to a finals during each performance. (The payoff for the long go-round, the finals and the average will be determined by the highest scores from both combined performances). If there are not 10 qualified rides during a performance, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw. If the 10th contestant is tied going into the final round, the tie will be broken by the back judge. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to the finals. QUALIFICATIONS: 100% top money. No exemptions. TRADE DEADLINE - The trade deadline for the progressive round will be one hour after the competition of the slack on April 24. Trades will be made through the rodeo secretary. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a re-run is awarded for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. TD, SW, TR - If there are not enough contestants in the current year circuit money category to fill the allotted circuit positions, the remaining positions will be filled with contestants from the previous year circuit money won category. TD - Electric eye barrier will be used. Length of score will be set by the event representative, stock contractor, and committee after the herd has been established but prior to the initial competition draw (may be longer than Rulebook specifications). Calves will be fresh and there will be one animal for every contestant. TD - There will be a disqualification for a jerk down as long as all of the criteria are in compliance with the jerk down policy. SW - Electric eye barrier may be used with event representative approval and length of the score will be set at the event representative’s discretion after animals to be used has been determined (may be longer than Rulebook specifications). TR - Only two loops allowed. Electric eye barrier will be used for both headers and heelers. 18ft for headers, 15ft for heelers. TR cattle will be fresh muleys and will be chute run (not drawn) as long as there is one animal for every team. SLACK ORDER: TD, SW, TR QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 60 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. No finals in BB, SB, BR. TD, SW, TR - 80 minimum entries (or teams). Two complete go-rounds will be run in slack on April 23 and April 24. The top 36 (plus splits), based on fastest times in the average from the first and second go-rounds, will advance to a progressive go-round held during the performances on April 25, 26, and 27. The top 12 in the average will advance to the finals held during the performance on April 28.
