TR - Only two loops allowed. Team Roping Crossfire - The header must have control of the steer’s head and the steer’s head must be bent before the heeler can legally deliver his rope. In other words, the heeler may rope the steer in the switch, but not before. Any heel loop delivered before the switch is considered a crossfire and is illegal. In the instance that a steer sets up, at no fault of the roper, the heel loop can be thrown at any time once the header has control of the steer. TR, the top 10 headers must rope with the top 10 heelers. If a contestant’s partner is drawn out due to qualifications, he will not be allowed to draw out. A partner will be drawn for him from the other contestants whose partners were drawn out due to qualifications. The top 10 in each event must enter through PROCOM between 12:00 PM on Monday February 8th and 12:00 PM on Wednesday February 10th, 2021. Six (6) in each event will advance from the Semi Finals held in Fort Worth. Permits will be accepted. Anyone advancing from the Semi Finals in Fort Worth must purchase a PRCA membership by Wed., March 3 at 5 PM MST with the exception of any qualifiers that may be less than 18 years of age. Failure to obtain a PRCA membership will result in the contestant being disqualified and any money or prizes that may have been won will be awarded to the next highest placed contestant. FORMAT: ALL EVENTS - All 16 entries in each event will compete during the first performance on Saturday, March 6, 2021. The top 8, based on highest scores or fastest times in the first performance, will advance to the Semifinals held during the second performance on Sunday, March 7, 2021. In all events, except the Bull Riding, if there are less than 8 qualified scores or times, a random draw will determine which contestants with no score or no time will advance to the performance on Sunday (will not exceed 8). In the Bull Riding, the judges will record the disqualification times on the judges sheets for the contestants who did not have qualified scores. If there are less than 8 qualified scores in the Bull Riding, the contestants who had the longest recorded disqualification time on the judges sheets will advance. The top 4 from the Semifinals will advance to Chute Out Round also held during the second performance after the completion of the top 8 Semifinals. If there are less than 4 qualified scores or times in an event in the Semifinals, the contestant with the highest score or fastest time from the long go-round will advance. If ties in the Semifinals result in more than 4 to advance to the Chute Out Round, the contestant with the highest score or fastest time in the long go-round will advance. If still tied, a random draw will determine who advances. PAY-OFF: The long go-round on Saturday, March 6 will pay three places: $3,000 for 1st place, $2,250 for 2nd place, and $1,000 for third place. The Chute Out Round on March 7 will pay $100,000 for 1st place, $25,000 for 2nd place, $10,000 for 3rd place, and $5,000 for 4th place (these amounts are paid per man in the Team Roping). Only 50% of the $100,000 allotted for first place will count towards PRCA World Standings. The amounts allotted for second, third, and fourth place will count in their entirety towards PRCA World Standings. If there are less than four qualified scores or times in the Chute Out Round, the remaining places will be paid based on highest scores or fastest times in the Semifinals. If there less than four qualified scores or times in Chute Out Round and the Semifinals combined, the remaining places will be paid based on highest scores or fastest times in the long go- round. Money paid out to a contestant without a qualified ride or time will be considered ground money. All other money paid out will count towards PRCA World Standings (with the exception of the 50% of the money allotted for first place in the Chute Out Round). Money won at this event will not count towards Texas Circuit Standings, nor will the event be applied to a contestant’s required participation count.
