The 2025 season begins Oct. 1, 2024. The 2024 rodeo season will end with rodeos ending on or prior to Sept. 30, 2024. ALL 2024 RODEOS WITH QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL EVENTS: If a contestant qualifies in both the 2023 and 2024 categories for money won, he will be accepted in the 2023 category for money won.

MEMBER BULLETIN BOARD PRCA PHOTOGRAPHY NOTICE

It has been reported to the PRCA by member photographers that there have been incidents in which PRCA members may have misused photographs taken by a PRCA Photographer at a PRCA-sanctioned event without permission of the PRCA Photographer or properly purchasing the photograph. Such reported misuse of photographs includes, but is not limited to posting to, online websites (including Facebook), providing 10 sponsor(s) for use, printing of photographs, providing photographs to news media, photographing the photograph with a cell phone, or any other use without proper purchase or writtten permission of the PRCA Photographer. As a member-driven organization, the PRCA encourages and expects all members to act with fairness and respect regarding their actions and dealings with fellow members.

No duplicate award buckles (i.e. NFR go-round) will be made by Montana Silversmiths except under extenuating circumstances, and then a letter will have to be submitted to the Properties Dept. If a request is accepted, the charge for the buckle will be retail. There will be no award buckles made that are not listed in the PRCA/Montana Silversmiths contract. Then again, if an exception is to be made, it will have to be authorized by the Properties Dept.

2023 season Circuit Finals Rodeos and the 2023 NFR Open WILL count toward PRCA World Standings.

THE FOLLOWING WILL BE EFFECTIVE FOR THE 2023/2024 SEASON The 2023 individual Circuit Finals Steer Roping events (Badlands, Columbia River, Montana, Mountain States, Prairie, Texas, Turquoise) and the 2023 National Circuit Finals Steer Roping will count toward the 2024 World Standings and qualifications. These events will be Official Entry Rodeos (con testant must designate unofficial). If a contestant has not met the required participation count it will be an automatic unofficial entry rodeo for that contestant and will not count toward 2024 World Standings or qualification rodeos. For any Steer Roping Circuit Finals Rodeo that occurs prior to the 2023 regular season cutoff date, money won at those circuit finals rodeos will count toward the 2023 World Standings and qualifications. In 2024, it will count toward the All-Around.

PRCA DONITA BARNES CONTRACT PERSONNEL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD NOMINATIONS

Nominations are being accepted for the PRCA Donita Barnes Contract Personnel Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was created to recognize PRCA members who have dedicated their lives to the rodeo industry for their com mitment, work and contributions. Any active member (or active life member) of the PRCA may nominate eligible contract personnel members for the award. Nominations are open from July 1-31. Nominees must have been a PRCA member for a minimum of 15 years and may not have won a yearly contract personnel award within 15 years of the date of nomination (life members may be nominated even if they are not actively renewed). Nomination letters of 500 words or less can be mailed to the PRCA, 101 ProRodeo Drive, Colo rado Springs, CO 80919 or emailed to sgibson@ prorodeo.com. MEDICAL EXEMPTION - Consideration will be given to those members who qualified in 2023 but because of injuries were unable to compete at any rodeos after July 1, 2023. A letter on doctor’s letterhead must be submitted to the CRES office prior to entries opening, this letter must detail the time frame in which contestant was unable to compete. Injury information must be given to CRES at the time of entry. TE - Section VII A. 1 & 3 and Section VIII A 13 of the CPRA rulebook will be strictly enforced by the Pro Rodeo Officials. FINALS - $5,000 will be held out in each of the seven major events for the finals. Four (4) monies will be paid in the finals. Split 40-30-20-10. TD, SW, TR - Top twelve (12), if a tie exists, it will be broken by the fastest time on any one head. If still tied, the tie will be broken by the second fastest time on any one head. If still tied the Canadian Standings as of June 18, 2024 will be the tie breaker. SB, BB, BR - Top twelve (12), if a tie exists, it will be broken by going back to judge’s card, the high mark contestant on the cowboy spur ride will break the tie. If still tied the Canadian Standings as of June 18, 2024 will be the tie breaker. TURNING OUT FINALS - Contestants who turn-out of the Finals must notify the local Rodeo Office by Sunday, June 30 no later than 6 PM MST. A $500 turn-out fine will apply if the contestant fails to notify by the specified time. Contestants who are a notified turn-out or contestants who are unavailable at the start of the section of their event will be replaced by the next available contestant; next is defined by the 2024 Ponoka Stampede standings. Ponoka Stampede reserves the right to roll contestants into the Finals (to total of 12 contestants) in the event of turn-outs. In case of ties between 13-14 etc., tie breaker rules to decide the next contestant into the finals, the procedure will be the same as determining the top twelve (12) qualifiers. SHOWDOWN FORMAT - Cowboy Rule - Must make a qualified ride or run to be paid. No GROUND MONEY WILL BE PAID. All monies paid in the SHOWDOWN will count towards CPRA/PRCA standings. In the event no qualified rides/times in the showdown there will no payout and the average winner will be the Stampede Champion. No time or score will be carried into the Showdown. All stock will be selected by the event reps and the committee. Order of competition will be fourth (4th) to first (1st), timed events must be split so as no back to back runs on the same horse. Top four (4) contestants, maximum of four (4), from the average of the rodeo will compete in the Showdown. If not enough qualified rides/runs for the Showdown, the highest score taken to the Finals will qualify (also includes injuries). ALL EVENTS - If a contestant who qualifies for the finals notifies a turn-out, doctor’s release or visible injury release through ProCom, the contestant with the next highest ranking in the advancement procedure may be placed in that available position. (Non- notified turn-outs and visible injury releases after the turn-out deadline will not be replaced). If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the position, the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled. In the riding events, if an animal has already been drawn for a contestant who turned-out, the replacement contestant will be drawn an animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s).
