SR - 3 go-rounds all run in slack on April 8 at 9am (plus a top 24 progressive round on April 8 at 3pm). Only the first 3 contestants in each go-round will be required to run in order. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. The misdraw procedure will not be used. Contestants who qualify for the progressive round will be responsible to pay an additional stock charge for the progressive round. Contestants are required to compete in the steer roping event at a minimum of 15 PRCA rodeos for the money at this event to count towards 2023 World Standings or the 2023 Rookie of the Year standings. Money will count towards circuit standings and rodeo will count towards a contestant’s required circuit participation count. Money won at this event will not count towards All Around standings. STK. ALL EVENTS - All contestants are required to sign in to receive credentials for entering the rodeo facilities. TD, SW, TR - If there are not enough contestants in the current year circuit money won category to fill the allotted circuit positions, the remaining positions will be filled with contestants from the previous year circuit money won category. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 60 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD, SW, TR - 80 minimum entries (or teams). Two go-rounds, back-to-back, slack to slack, or slack to perf. The first go-round of each back-to-back group will be run during the afternoon slack on the day of the performance. The 12 fastest times from the first go-round will compete during the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). If splits result in more than 12, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance (will not exceed 12) and which will compete in slack. The competition order of ties from the first go-round will also be determined by random draw. If there are not 12 qualified times from the first go-round to fill the performance, the remaining positions will be filled based on the reverse order of the first go-round positions (Only contestants who competed in first go-round will be placed in the performance). The remaining contestants (not placed in the performance) will run their second go-round during slack immediately following the completion of the first go-round in reverse order of their first go-round positions. GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old or a permit holder at the time of entry closing. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Steer Roping Event in Hobbs. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay entry fees of $300. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Steer Roping Event in Hobbs will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the four go-rounds and the average after four go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK. CONT.: VARIOUS

GROUND RULES: ALL CONTESTANTS - The “30 hour replacement” and “walk-up replacement” policies will be in effect. The check-in deadline for alternates will be one hour prior to the performance for this event. See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Wed., April 5 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. COMPETITION FORMAT: 35 minimum entries. One go-round with top 10 finals (will not exceed 10). (There may be the option of two go-rounds back-to-back, same performance with no finals depending on the number of entries at the committee’s request). If two go-rounds, the number of entries accepted during the re-entry period will not exceed 20 entries. If there are not 10 qualified rides, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw (by the judges). If the 10th contestant is tied going into the final round, the tie will be broken by the back judges. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to the finals. QUALIFICATIONS: 100% top money. No
