New B.2.5.15 PRCA Technology Provider A PRCA Technology Provider shall be defined as the individual that provides videography/video services, scoreboards, radio, streaming or television services at any PRCA rodeo performance. Each PRCA Technology Provider shall obtain his or her own membership status OR may obtain a company card to cover company contractors or employees. All laborers (e.g. cameramen, video board operators) must be covered under the company card or separately as an active insured member. (Contract Personnel Executive Council 9/20) New B2.5.15.1 Dues and Fees . Annual dues, fees, and insurance premiums shall be the same as for Contestant Card Members. PRCA Technology Provider Companies will pay the equivalent of ONE membership for annual dues and fees and the equivalent of FIVE insurance premiums. (Contract Personnel Executive Council 9/20) New B2.5.15.2 Insurance Fee. Technology Provider shall be subject to the insurance fee as set forth in Section B2.5.1.3. (Contract Personnel Executive Council 9/20) New B2.5.15.3 Application. Applicants for Non-contestant Card Member-Technology Provider endorsement must submit a completed PRCA application to the PRCA. Once a performance or slack has commenced, Technology Providers may not perform any other duty except that single role (e.g. Music Director and Video Board Operator.) Failure to do so will result in a $500 fine per occurrence. (Contract Personnel Executive Council 9/20) 2023 Rule Proposals Change R1.7.2 Maximum Number of Official Entries. A contestant may enter as many PRCA-approved rodeos as desired. However, no more than the following number of rodeos will be accepted as official entries: Bareback Riding 100 Official Rodeos Saddle Bronc Riding 100 Official Rodeos Bull Riding No limit 115 Official Rodeos Tie-Down Roping 100 Official Rodeos Steer Wrestling 85 Official Rodeos Team Roping 65 Official Rodeos (C. Rostockyj 6/20) Change R5.7.1.4 Payoff. Day-money checks shall be written at the end of each performance if the performance competition has been completed. (PRCA Staff 5/20) Change R5.9.5 Payoff. Day-money checks shall be written at the end of each performance if the performance competition has been completed. (PRCA Staff 5/20) R8.7 Movement and Loading of Livestock. Except as set forth in rule 9.1.6.1 and 9.1.6.2, standard livestock prods shall be used in the sorting pens only to move and load livestock when necessary and the animal has an open gate or area in order to move forward. If a prod is used, the animal shall be touched only on the hip or shoulder area. Commonly accepted livestock moving tools such as sorting sticks and paddles are also acceptable, when used appropriately, to move and load livestock. Once livestock is loaded into the lead up alleys or the chute which it will compete out of, the a small hand-held prod may only be used when needed for the safety of the livestock, contestant or personnel. All determinations of necessary use of a prod during competition will be determined by a rodeo judge. Any violation of this rule will result in an initial fine of $1,000 to the Stock Contractor/stock contracting firm owning the animal with that fine progressively doubling for any additional offense(s). The contestant will receive an automatic option for a reride. (Stock Contractor Executive Council 10/20) New Rule 8.7.1 Only designated personnel may use the electric prod when an animal is in the bucking chute. This person or persons shall be designated to the judges prior to the rodeo performance or slack and shall be 18 years of age or older. Failure to designate a person prior to the performance will result in a fine of $100, doubling with each offense. (Stock Contractor Executive Council 10/20) New Rule 8.7.2 In the roughstock events, a hand-held device may be used only on an animal that has been given the opportunity to leave the bucking chute and has stalled. The animal must have had a chance to turn out of the chute before the
