Minor brothers secure team roping victory at Elko Brotherly Love BY KENSIE DARST-TODD, Special to ProRodeo Sports News F rom the practice arena to the long hours on the road, teamwork is the cornerstone of the Minor brothers’ success in the challenging event of team roping. Brady and Riley Minor are brothers and teammates from Ellensburg, Wash., who have spent their lives perfecting their craft together in team roping. This dedication culminated in a victory at the Silver State Stampede in Elko, Nev., where they achieved a time of 4.6 seconds, earning $4,353. This win was a much-needed boost in their quest for redemption this season. “We haven’t had much luck here lately, so it’s a good win. Obviously, we’re trying to get to Vegas, and we’ve got a long way to go. We’re quite aways behind, so we’ve got to keep our heads down and try to keep winning,” Riley Minor shared. The brothers’ understanding of each other’s strengths and communication styles, honed over years of practice and shared experiences, advances their ability to compete together.
