BY TRACY RENCK W ill Stites didn’t roll out of his baby crib to start his rodeo journey. The Jonestown, Pa., native was around the sport as a youngster but didn’t start competing until he was a teenager.

“I grew up around horses my whole life and I never really thought much about rodeoing,” Stites said. “I grew up probably five minutes from a practice pen down the road (in Annville). I used to go out there and watch them ride bulls.” Fast-forward to 2021, and Stites, 32, is coming off a career- best season in the First Frontier Circuit.
