“A 6.5-second run is so fast I can hardly even remember what happened after I threw my rope. It was for sure the fastest run I’ve ever made, and I’m glad it was in Calgary.”

Reigning World Champion Tie-down Roper Shad Mayfield posted the fastest time of of 2021 when he stopped the clock in 6.5 seconds at the Calgary Stampede. Mayfield earned $18,500 in Calgary.
