what he was all about, and I knew I had to do my job. It all worked out. I’m just trying to keep things simple. I just go to the rodeos and do my job one horse at a time and just have fun doing it. I don’t really look at the standings. I just want to have fun doing this.” Wright, 18, was trying to digest his huge victory. “This is just super awesome,” Wright said. “That (90.5-point ride on Rosser Rodeo’s Yeti Rambler in the finals) was my first 90 so I couldn’t be any happier. When they said (90.5) I was super excited. It is super special to be able to win this one. This will give me a boost up there in the world standings and an extreme amount of confidence and I’m ready to roll.” Newman earned $12,121 in Reno andWright earned $13,923.

Newman arrived at the Reno Rodeo first in the PRCA | RAMWorld Standings and he helped his cause by splitting the win with rookie Statler Wright. They tied in the average with 261 points on three head. “I don’t think things have even sunk in yet,” Newman said. “This year has been amazing for me. I hope to keep it rolling. I have been drawing some really great horses and just having fun. This is my first Reno win, and this is awesome. I love Reno and this is a great rodeo. “That horse (Flying 5 Rodeo’s Spring Tunes) I had an 89 on in the finals I had never been on before. I had seen him quite a bit and I knew
