Father’s Day brings new emotions to Eldridge & Hooper First-time Dads FATHER’S DAY APPRECIATION

BY KEVIN CARMODY Special to ProRodeo Sports News L eaving home for an extended trip on the rodeo road never gave steer wrestler Dakota Eldridge or bareback rider Tilden Hooper a second thought. That was until both became fathers for the first time. “It dang sure makes it difficult leaving the house, but it gives me more incentive to win,” said Eldridge, a seven- time National Finals Rodeo qualifier whose wife, Quincy, gave birth to a daughter, Sally Lou, on Sept. 17, 2020. “Everybody tells you how babies will soften you up and it gets harder to leave. It wasn’t that big of a deal at first, but now she has a personality and is almost walking. She knows who you are now, so it is tough to take off.
