performance, slowest to fastest). Contestants in the progressive go-round may trade. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. (The misdraw procedure will not be used). Electric eye may be used and will judges have option to use a hand pulled barrier. $45 stock charge per go-round. Contestants who qualify for the progressive go- round will be responsible to pay an additional $45 stock charge for the progressive go-round. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 48 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD, SW, TR - 90 minimum entries (or teams). Two go-rounds. Back to back. The first go-round for each back to back group will be run in slack on the day of the performance. The committee will have the option of designating two contestants (or teams) to compete during the performance that night for their second go-round. This designation must be made by the committee through PROCOM by 5 PM the first business day after the first go- round trade deadline. Also, the contestants with the top ten fastest times from the first go-round will be placed in the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). The number of contestants placed in the performance will not exceed 10, unless one or both of the committee designated contestants are not among the top 10 from the first go-round (in this case the maximum could be 11 or 12). If the committee designated contestants are among the top 10, they will assume their position based on their first go-round time. If they are not among the top 10, they will run first in the performance (if neither of the two designated contestants are among the top 10, they will run first and second based on the reverse order of their first go-round positions). If splits result in more than 10, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance and which will compete in the slack. The order of competition of ties from the first go-round will also be determined by random draw. If there are not 10 qualified times from the first go-round to fill the performance, the remaining positions will be filled by contestants based on the reverse order of their first go-round positions (only contestants who competed in the first go-round will be placed in the performance). The remaining contestants (not placed in the performance) will run their second go-round in slack immediately following the completion of the first go-round in reverse order of their first go-round. The order of the draw will be the same as the competition order. TD, SW, TR - If a contestant qualifies for the finals at Casper and/or Colorado Springs and is placed in the Saturday morning slack at Sheridan on July 13, he will be allowed to compete on his second go- round animal immediately following the completion of the first go-round as long as he notifies the rodeo secretary prior to the stock draw for the second go-round. These contestants will compete first (and draw last) in the second go- round in reverse order of their first go-round positions regardless of their first go-round times. The ten contestants (or teams) with the fastest times, not including the contestants who qualify for the finals at Casper and/or Colorado Springs and are run in slack, will be placed in performance following the same procedures outlined in the previous ground rule. Individuals who violate animal entry policies will be subject to immediate ejection from the premises. RIDING EVENTS - Riding event stock will be drawn by PROCOM a minimum of 24 hours in advance to each respective round. Any re-rides granted must be taken during the same performance. In the event that there are more re-rides awarded than there are re-ride animals, additional re-ride animals will be drawn from the original performance herd (animals used in that respective performance). TIMED EVENTS - If a calf or steer is obviously injured during competition, the run will be stopped immediately by the judge. The contestant will be required to maintain control of the calf or steer until the timed event chute boss or the PPOBR veterinarian excuses him. If the judges stops the run due to animal injury, the contestant or team will be granted a re-run (whether the animal was actually injured or not). If a timed event animal escapes or a re-run is granted for any other reason, the extra will automatically be used and become part of the herd, and the escaped animal will become the extra. All re-runs must compete during that performance during that respective event.
