Ora Taton is no stranger to rodeo. He’s been a PRCA cardholder for 33 years. He recently took home the average title at the Ron Ross Memorial Steer Roping in Liberty Hill, Texas. The win added $9,042 to his season earnings, bumping him up to sixth in the PRCA | RAM World Standings and putting him in position to qualify for his first NFSR since 2004 . Zeroing In on NFSR
“It has been a while since I have been to (the NFSR). This year is pretty different because early on down in Andrews (Texas) at their stand-alone roping I won some money and I have been winning money at places. So, it has kind of been a different
year because I usually don’t win this type of money this early in the year.”

Rookie on the Rise Trevor Hale has been on quite the roll the past two weeks. The rookie tie-down roper is currently sitting in the top 40 of the PRCA | RAM World Standings after winning $5,166 in just a single week of rodeo. He posted the fastest run of the week (May 16-22) with a 7.2-second time at the Redding (Calif.) Rodeo. Hale is sitting second in the running for the Resistol Rookie of the Year award.
