Steer wrestler Dakota Eldridge’s 4.7-second run (above) April 27 helped him win the Clovis Rodeo with a time of 22.7 seconds on four head.
$5,184 Money won by team roping heeler Kyle Lockett, add- ing to his lead in the world standings. Lockett and head- er Aaron Tsinigine finished second in Clovis in 34.0 seconds on four head. With a significant lead, Lockett isn’t rodeoing full time, sticking to California rodeos and a few bigger rodeos.
Wright on track Ryder Wright continues to rack up big money. The 2017 World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider won The American in Arlington, Texas, earlier this season, cashing for $53,000. On April 28, he added two more wins – the Clovis Ro- deo ($6,994) and the Angelina Benefit Rodeo in Lufkin, Texas ($2,098). As of April 29, Wright was first in the saddle bronc standings with $138,110, giving him a lead of more than $47,213.
