Stock Show in Denver; the PRCAA Cheyenne (Wyo.) Showcase, during the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo; the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo; the Dodge City (Kan.) Round Up Rodeo; and many more from Los Angeles to New York. In 1985, Wells had the honor of co- founding the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Artists Association, (PRCAA). Every member of the association is a current, active (or retired) member of a major professional rodeo organization, as well as being a qualified professional artist. Wells was inducted as a charter member and elected director for 17 years. Wells has had more than 100 pieces of art published as limited-edition prints, posters, magazine illustrations and program covers. Fromminiatures to murals, his works have been shown and collected worldwide by museums, corporations and private individuals. Wells worked with watercolors, oils, acrylics, gouache, tempera, pen and ink, pencils, pastels and charcoal. His style was realism and his subject matter was cowboy and western in nature. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a great-niece. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Alice; two nephews; four great-nephews; three nieces and five great-nieces. Memorials are designated to the nonprofit Oklahoma Rodeo Pageants Council, P.O. Box 6113, Enid, Okla., 73702.

passed away April 15 inWahoo, Neb. She was 79. Swanson was born Nov. 2, 1939, in Omaha, Neb., to Lewis and Nellie (Hultgren) Wollen and spent the early years of her life in Elk City.
