Southern New Mexico Fair and Rodeo vital to community One rodeo committee will be chosen to win a Massey Ferguson® tractor valued at $35,000 for the good work they do. One applicant for the Sowing Good Deeds initiative is the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo in Las Cruces. The 2019 Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo was Sept. 27-28. The Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo is part of the second-largest fair in New Mexico. Located in a fertile farming valley, the event is used to celebrate not only the Western heritage of ProRodeo, but also the many farmers who make a living in the Las Cruces valley. The Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo committee strives to bring not only top-notch rodeo to the area, but also pays homage to those who came before it with America night and the Tough Enough To Wear Pink campaign. With the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo at the end of the PRCA season or at the beginning of a new season the committee upped its added money to hopefully draw more top cowboys to its rodeo in the future.
