Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping tickets
BY THE NUMBERS 3 The number of cowboys who’ve won steer roping world championships since 2005. The list consists of Scott Snedecor (2005, 2008, 2017-18), Rocky Patterson (2009- 10, 2012, 2016) and Trevor Brazile (2006- 07, 2011, 2013-15, 2019). All three will be competing at the 2020 Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping in Mulvane, Kan., Nov. 6-7. 1959 The year ProRodeo Hall of Famer Jim Shoulders won the all-around world championship and bull riding world title at the National Finals Rodeo at the State Fairgrounds in Dallas. Those were his last two world titles – Nos. 15 and 16 – of his legendary career. $70K The amount ($70,651) earned by Cody Lee at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping in 2016, an NFSR record.
Fans who want to see the inaugural championship for breakaway roping can buy tickets to the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping starting in November. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale at www.texasrangers.com/nfr on Nov. 2 with a special code. The public on-sale date is Nov. 6. The NFBR will be at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, at 10 a.m. (CT), Dec. 8-10 – the same arena used for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Cowgirls will compete for a record-setting $200,000 purse at this three-day event. The prize package also will include the world champion gold buckle custom-crafted by Montana Silversmiths, the world championship saddle created by Cactus Saddlery, a POLARIS Ranger utility vehicle and other great prizes. For these contestants, the $200,000 payout is the largest purse ever offered Western finery will be on full display for the PRCA Awards Banquet on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m., the night before the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo opens at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Cowboys and cowgirls will be decked out as they gather for the annual event to recognize best- of-the-best contributions to the sport that have made ProRodeo great in 2020. The awards will be handed out in 16 categories: • Donita Barnes Lifetime Achievement Award • Stock Contractor of the Year
for a breakaway roping competition sanctioned by the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association. “This event is a big deal,” said George Taylor, CEO of the PRCA. “These breakaway ropers competing at NFBR are going to be in the spotlight and making history in this sport, and they’ll be well- rewarded with a prize package like this. This is rodeo and roping you do not want to miss.” Breakaway roping is one of the hottest events sanctioned by the WPRA. The PRCA and the WPRA have worked together for the last year to promote breakaway roping and grow the sport. In sharing the venue with the NFR, breakaway has earned an important place in the greatest event on ProRodeo’s calendar. Tickets for the NFBR will range from $35 to $45 per seat and will sell in groups of four tickets for single performances.

Finalists named for Sowing Good Deeds
Hesston by Massey Ferguson is pleased to announce the five PRCA rodeos that have been named as Sowing Good Deeds award finalists. The Sowing Good Deeds initiative aims to raise awareness of these local efforts and reward
one PRCA committee each year whose impact goes above and beyond. The grand prize is a Massey Ferguson tractor. The winning committee will be announced at the 2020 PRCA Awards Banquet on Dec. 2. The finalists are:
