RODEO HISTORY
Rodeo clown Butch Lehmkuhler worked his first National Finals Rodeo in 1990. The former part-time saddle bronc rider gave up a teaching job two years earlier to see if he could make it as a professional rodeo clown. In addition to working the barrel at his first NFR in ’90, Lehmkuhler worked the Wrangler Bullfight Finals for the second straight year with veteran Ted Kimzey. Lehmkuhler is a five-time PRORODEO Clown of the Year and worked the Wrangler Bullfight Finals three times.
